To learn and experience about living in the countryside was the purpose of this school trip, and for that they went to Mekarsari Amazing Tourism Park (MATP) in Cileungsi, West Java, three weeks ago.
MATP was formerly known as Mekarsari Fruit Park, the biggest tropical fruit garden in the country. Later they changed the name to Mekarsari Amazing Tourism Park after adding more facilities in the area. Now they offer many recreational facilities, various tour packages and hold many events as well.
In this trip Evan and his friends were in the Paddy Village package which include planting paddy, bathing water buffalo, painting farmer’s hat, catching fish game, boat cruising, tour around vegetable garden, etc. It’s a lot of activities for a half day trip (but quite cheap with less than $7 per pax). The kids were worn out when they went back home but they certainly had a blast. Here are some pictures from the trip, will post some more in the next posts.
There are still many things to explore in the park, so we might go back there for our family trip later. After all the place is quite near, only an hour drive from our home.
Thanks for stopping by everyone, have a great day .

A fun & informative park!
Did Evan like planting the paddy?
Yes he did. Not sure what he enjoyed the most though, planting paddy or being wet and dirty
and so much to do there.
We definitely need to go back to try other tour package
The kids will surely love it. Back to the nature is what everyone needs after a laborious week.
It’s a nice break both for them and parents
That field trip sure is fun! I’m sure Evan and his friends had a great time!
