It is not uncommon for many people to think of children when they hear the term diecast truck toys. However, the reality is that these models are not only popular among kids; they are also enjoyed by adults, as well. The difference is, of course, that adults don’t typically play with the toys they collect but, instead, put them on display.

Truck toys that are diecast collectibles are exceptional pieces that are available in a number of types and sizes. Most of them are miniature replicas of real trucks and are nothing like the basic plastic or metal toys that are meant for little kids. A die-cast model isn’t simply a toy; it is a work of art.

What is the appeal? It may be something different for everyone. However, common reasons for their popularity are:

Nostalgia – these unique models often remind those who like them of their youth, bringing back treasured memories of childhood.
They are valuable – Unlike many other types of truck toys that often do not have much value other than the personal joy it brings its owner, die casts are sometimes sold as collections and can actually become more valuable with age, especially among serious collectors.
Durability – These models are well made and are long lasting. As long as they are treated with care, they do not damage easily and will maintain their beauty for years to come.

Therefore, these truck toys may be a wonderful gift idea for children, as well as adults.

Christ Blessing Monument. Stands 50 m (158.3 ft) tall, consists of 20 m of pedestal and 30 m of statue.
It is the world's 4th tallest statue of Christ.

The statue depicts how Jesus blesses His disciples before ascending to heaven

One might not expect to find a giant statue of Christ here in Indonesia, the most populous Muslim country in the world. But Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi province, is unique with its predominantly Christian population and the statue also symbolizes the religious tolerance in this country.

WW: Snorkeling at Bunaken National Park

Bunaken National Marine Park is one of the major tourist destinations in Manado city (my mom’s hometown) in North Sulawesi. On the 6th day of our New Year’s vacation in Manado we decided to rent a glass bottom boat and went snorkeling around the Bunaken island.

It takes about 30 minutes boat ride from Manado port to Bunaken

We didn't bring our kids. We left them at their auntie's house

Approaching to the island we could see a magnificent underwater scenery through the glass bottom of the boat
So actually you don't have to be wet to enjoy Bunaken

Time for snorkeling

That's my cousin. She's a PE teacher so naturally she swims better than any of us and had a great time exploring Bunaken

And that is me floating on the surface...
Didn't dare to take off my life jacket

The guide tried to teach me to dive but I still prefer wearing my life jacket

Finished snorkeling, we landed to the island for sightseeing

Toy Trucks Encourage Fun and Are a Favorite Plaything

Toy trucks are often s favorite among children. There are many reasons for this but overall they are a lot of fun to play with and are often treasured for years to come as they encourage imagination and usually have many interesting features, especially when compared to other vehicle toys, such as cars, boats or airplanes.

For instance, toy trucks are often large in size, so they are easy to pick up, move and are rarely misplaced. Furthermore, they tend to have more workable parts that can be played with for added fun, which may or may not include the following: doors that open and close, ladders, dumping beds, trailers, levelers, steering wheels that move, etc. Hence, not only does this make the model more interesting, but it can also make it educational as it encourages the child to develop hand-eye coordination as they learn how the various parts work.

There are all different kinds of play trucks that can be enjoyed by kids of all ages, such as wooden or plastic trucks, diecast models, radio control vehicles, and even models that are sold in model kits and need to be put together. Thus, you’ll quickly discover there is something for everyone when it comes to toy trucks.
