We went to Evan’s school this morning to attend the first PTA meeting of this school year. As usual, not many parents were interested to come, so the meeting room was quite empty. To be honest I wasn’t too keen to attend either, but I needed to because I wanted to meet Evan’s new class teacher after the meeting. Though I already knew her, I never met her as his class teacher.
Anyway, the meeting went pretty boring. Most of the parents who came were new parents, and they constantly asked, complained and suggested every little thing that came across their mind. OMG! Only one or two that I found useful enough for the school, while others were just nonsense.
After almost three hours listening to those grumpy parents we got bored and quietly left the room. We picked up Evan who was playing outside with his friends and headed to the mall to have lunch, without having a chance to talk to his teacher. Never mind, I’ll just call her later.

Now, for the good news of the week, Eldrick is back cheerful again after almost two weeks being cranky due to his teething. He started to drink and eat more too so I’m sure he’ll gain his weight back soon. Hopefully his next teething will be a lot easier!

No more moody days
Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Independence Day 2010 official logo
Happy 65th Independence Day!
Dirgahayu Republik Indonesia – Merdeka!
It’s a holiday here, due to our Independence Day. (Yup, that explains the waving flag at the top and a boy carrying flag at the bottom right of the blog). We didn’t go anywhere today because the weather didn’t look so promising. The sky had been cloudy since we got up from bed and there was a short, little rain just before noon. So we chose to stayed at home and had a relaxing time with our kids.
Unlike usual, there’s no Independence Day celebration in our neighborhood this year. No kids or family competition, parades, fair (pasar malam), bazaar or anything whatsoever. Perhaps because it falls on Ramadan month so people are more focus on their religious activity. Besides, I don’t think many people want to get tired and sweaty while fasting. So it’s been a quiet (and cloudy) holiday…
Have a great day everyone!
