Those Are For Me, Right?

Unpacking mom's suitcase

These are mine, right?

This is mine! Those are for me, right? I want that one too! You’ll hear the boy saying those repeatedly every time he sees me unpacking. No matter where I get the stuff, from an overseas trip or just a nearby shop, he will start claiming all kids stuff bought as his. He actually already passed the “all for me” stage since years ago by the way. So a quick “No it’s for your brother!” or “That’s for your friends’ birthday!” usually will make him understand. Unless he really likes the stuff, if that the case, the conversation can take longer than that! :-P

Knowing that he probably will not gonna give up easily on the souvenirs or toys I bought in UK for others, because they all are very interesting, I only opened one of my luggage that contains all stuff I bought for him at the time I arrived and kept the remaining four locked. Days later, after he went to sleep, I started to unpack my other suitcases. It didn’t work though! Somehow he could sense there’s an activity going on in the living room so he woke up and started claiming other stuff. It was a long night for us!

My little explorer too can already sense the presence of new toys for him. One evening he was exploring our room and found the suitcase containing his new stuff :o) .

At a souvenir shop

Compare to my other trips, I have to say I shopped a lot more on my recent trip to London. Probably because it was the longest trip so far. Two weeks! My previous overseas business trips took no longer than a week. Sometimes I didn’t even have to stay over. So there was not enough time to browse around except for buying souvenirs. But with two weeks trips, I had enough time going from stores to stores (L) . I ended up buying two extra luggage, in addition to my two suitcases I brought, to fit all the stuff. Later, even after minus two luggage that I already sent home with my friend who left earlier, I almost had to pay extra $$ for excess baggage, :-( .

Harrods

Most of the stuff I bought are for my kids of course as I spent more time at kids/baby section whenever I went shopping. Each one got a single suitcase full of toys, clothes and many more. Souvenirs and t-shirts stores were my second target. Last, but definitely not least, Primark and Harrods that made my “fashion shopping” time in London more fun! They had a Great Summer Sale when I was there. Talk about a perfect time to shop! :-*

So what you usually buy when you’re on a trip?
Have a nice weekend everyone!

A Blog With Substance

I got this award from mommy Tetcha of Pensive Thoughts about a month ago. Yup, it’s another long delayed award by me, :-$ sorry mommy :-$ and thank you for giving me this lovely A Blog with Substance award (L) .

By receiving this award I need to sum up my blogging philosophy, motivation, and experience using five (5) words. Well, actually 5 words is a bit too long for me because my blogging philosophy and motivation can be summed up in three words, and it’s been written on my header since I started this blog two years ago… “CHERISHING GOD’S GIFTS”.

So what’s your blogging philosophy? Share it with us…
